Dock Forklift Drivers (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location(s): Johnson

Brief Overview:


Unload and load customer product, scan product and place correctly in warehouse. Maintain a safe and clean work area.



  • Move cases, pallets, totes or other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using forklifts or other equipment safely.
  • Sort cases before loading and unloading.
  • Attach identifying tags to pallets or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read customer order and warehouse sheet or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Stack cases in locations such as on pallets, in racks or in railcars as directed.
  • Wrap cases/ pallets in plastic wrap to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
  • Scan product correctly by checking accuracy and placement. Precisely enters data via the VMS in cold environment.
  • Capable of de-slating as required.
  • Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities to Supervision.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation on time.
  • Report facility and equipment damage and other safety hazards to Supervision.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.



  • High school or G.E.D. preferred
  • 1 year work experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment or equivalent. Combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to become reach truck and forklift certified.
  • Familiar with WMS and RF.
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to read numbers and labels
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be able to speak and write the English language at a level to perform job requirements safely.


Physical Demands:


The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. Requires walking primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
  • Work environment temperatures range from approximately 35 degrees to below 0 degrees (Fahrenheit). Proper cold weather clothing required.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs., reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist. Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Occasional travel by automobile may be required.
