OTR Driver

DRIVER COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT OVERVIEW

 

Sign-On Bonus: $1000

  • $250 upon acceptance of 1st OTR load
  • $250 upon completion of 3 months as a full-time driver
  • $500 upon completion of 6 months as a full-time driver

Pay Package

  • 2+ years of verifiable experience start at $.40 per mile
  • Veterans who can provide a DD214 start at $.42 per mile
  • Die Hard Trucker (14+ days on the road):  $.03 incentive

Home Time:

  • One day off for every 7 days out on the road, up to 3 days.

Other Pay:

  • Six paid holidays at $140.00 per holiday.
  • Layover Pay: $140.00 after the first 24 hours and not repositioned over 200 miles.
  • Detention Pay: $15.00/ hr after two (2) hours of close of appointment.
  • Unloading Pay: Zero Mountain pays for loading and unloading. Driver may have to locate lumper and get fees approved by dispatch.
  • Drop and Pickup Pay: Multi drop loads/pickups are $15.00 for each additional pickup or drop.
  • No pay for single drop or pickup.
  • Option to elect Per Diem pay, up to $.07 per mile.

Vacation:

  • 1 week after 1 year
  • 2 weeks for 2-4 years
  • 3 weeks after 5 years
  • 4 weeks after 15 years

*Paid at $140 per day or $70 per half day

 

Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • 2 days after 90 days
  • Then 2 days at the start of each quarter: January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1

GROUP BENEFITS

 

Zero Mountain offers a variety of benefit programs for its drivers including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, company paid life and supplemental insurances.  The Company also offers a 401k retirement plan.

Full-time drivers and their dependents are eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance the first of the month following their employment date. The next page offers a brief description of cost and benefit coverage for health, dental and vision. 

 

Drivers must be employed for one year and work a minimum of 1000 hours to be eligible for the 401k retirement plan.  Entry dates are January 1 and July 1of each year.  Historically, Zero Mountain has proved a 2-for-1 match, up to 5%.  For example, if a driver contributes 5%, Zero Mountain contributes 10%.  The match is voted on every year by the Board of Directors, so please keep this mind.  Further information will be provided prior to your eligibility date.
